Trump vs. Obama: Days 1 – 400

Derived from Rasmussen Reports approval ratings for Obama and Trump. This post explains the computation of the ratios.

Trump enjoyed a stronger SOTU bounce than Obama did eight years earlier, and seems to have recovered from a Parkland dip.

Trump’s showing is all the more impressive given the unrelentingly negative coverage of his candidacy and presidency by most “news” and “entertainment” outlets. Another way to look at it is that much of the electorate is immune to the sound and fury that emanates from the media, which bodes well for the future of the Republic.
