I’ll take Game 7 in 1991. Best world series ever, and especially good because no major market teams were involved.

Compared to the wild finish in 2016, and coming on the heels of some very entertaining games in this series, game seven seemed anti-climactic.
Visiting teams who clinch championships on the road also take some of the excitement/drama out of the affair because the wind comes out of the home crowd’s sails as soon as it becomes clear that the visitors are going to win. Thus, the newly crowned champions are left to celebrate in a quiet and rapidly emptying stadium.

Good observations.

I don’t remember the 1991 series. I was a Yankees fan at the time, and probably didn’t watch it because the Yankees weren’t in it.
